Artist Statement
After years away from the world of photography, I became re-energized by the beauty of California's Santa Cruz Mountains and the maturing technology of digital photography.
Some photos are fairly straightforward, but I do take liberties with some as well. Having spent several years in darkrooms I enjoy the benefits and freedom that come with the digital imagery, but I try not to go too far, but sometimes, well, I just can't help it. I try to come up with pictures that please me and, hopefully, the viewer.
Those of you who have visited before will notice that I've shifted my work from primarily flora, fauna, and landscape, to include vintage cars and guitars, and even the occasional (gasp!) human being.
